This pendant is part of our Serendipity Collection of jewelry. It showcases what people love about dichroic glass: the color is vivid, brilliant, and reflective. It measures 1.25″ x 1.125″, excluding the bail.
To make it, pieces of clear and transparent purple glass were repeatedly fused, cooled, broken, reassembled, and re-fired until the color pattern satisfied me. A square of this glass was placed on top of a piece of gold dichroic glass and the two layers were placed in an electric kiln at a temperature of 1475 degrees. When cool, a silver-plated bail was attached.
