Wise Owl Silver Pendant

This silver pendant features a whimsical owl, and is modeled on the silver cap from a decorative 19th century vanity bottle. For millennia, owls have been powerful symbols, in fact, some of the earliest known petroglyphs include owl images. They represented wisdom in ancient Greece, as they do today in our culture. Elsewhere they are seen as messengers from the spirit world, and in some places they are feared as harbingers of death. Symbolism aside, they are amazing hunters with incredible eyesight including night vision, precise hearing and the ability to fly silently.
