Circus Lady On Horse Glass Brooch

This playful brooch features the silhouette of a lady atop a circus horse. Made with love for the vaulters out there! The image was created using gold on black dichroic glass. The horse and lady were protected using a “resist,” then an etching compound was applied that dissolved the dichroic color everyplace else. After etching, a layer of clear glass was placed on top of it. Touches of color were applied on top of the clear glass, then it was fired in a kiln at 1475℉ to fuse the layers together.
