The dog on this fine silver charm was inspired by the traditional scene on an antique Doulton Lambeth harvest jug. The scene always includes a horse at full gallop ridden by a man blowing a hunting horn, five dogs on the run, and a stag. These features are “sprig formed” and applied as raised decorations. Jugs range in size from decorative pieces, barely 2″ tall, to practical serving pieces up to 9″ high. These dogs are typical of the smallest jugs.
